About Juliet

Though originally trained as a biologist and currently a partner in an online department store, Juliet Turback became interested in photography as an extension of her passion for art. Her enthusiasm was sparked after taking a basic black-and-white darkroom course at Tompkins Cortland Community College, and she soon set her sights on a formal degree in Photography. In 2005 her photograph titled "Beginning" was the winning entry in a college-wide art competition.

Juliet's commercial work has appeared in print and online catalogs. Her photographs illustrated "Greetings from the Finger Lakes" (Ten Speed Press, 2005). She has covered events from the Banana Split Festival in Wilmington, Ohio, to the Science Center Gala in Ithaca, New York. She served as the still photographer on the production of the motion picture, "I, Love, and You."

Juliet is available for your photographic needs in the Central New York area. She specializes in personal portrait, event coverage, and advertising/product photography. Assignments can be shot with either film and/or digital.
